It really is as comfortable (and BIG) as you might think. The initial setting up was rough for one person, the stuffing is really compacted for shipping and needs vigorous breaking up. Took a bunch of time and some sore forearms, but all things said, wasn't the worst thing. Once broken up and stuffed into its shell, it's a wonderful seat. And the footstool/pouf is a perfect compliment. Not so much a complaint as a word of warning: it is not easy to get out of these, at least not the big ones. If you are going to sit in it, make sure you have what you are going to need for the next little while, because getting back out can be a bit undignified. This isn't a "sit down for 3 minutes and check email," kind of chair. It's a sit down for the next few hours kind of chair. I'm literally thinking of installing a hook and rope into the ceiling above this, so I can pull myself up. In any case, have a drink ready, a nice blanket, a good book, and ideally enough time that you can dose off for a bit. And enjoy!
